Logistics Best and Brightest was the culmination of eight years of thought and work in the logistics and transportation industries. Our management team kept hearing the same complaints about the various Job Boards from the global leaders in the transportation industry. In their present form the job boards were simply not working for either side of the hiring equation. The complaints from the client side were:
- Too many unqualified resumes
- Too many resumes were old and out of date
- Too many resumes of people with no experience in the industry
- A cost benefit analysis showed it was too hard to get the right candidate
Unfortunately Human Resource Departments were being driven toward the web because it really was an inexpensive way to search for candidates On the candidate side the complaints were:
- You never know if the jobs are real
- Once you post your resume, you get inundated with sales calls having nothing to do with our resume.
- You never hear anything from the job board or the companies you are applying to.
- It is all up to you, you never get any help with interviewing tip or resume tips
- Your resume gets lost because of the sheer volume of resumes being sent to the company.
The culmination of these issues on both sides of the hiring equation brought our team to the conclusion that there had to be a better method of putting the brightest people together with the best companies. We took the issues one by one and found the best way to solve the problem and these "fixes" turned into the Logistics Best and Brightest Website.
